Lizzy and I just got home from an epic trip overseas. We started out in Suffolk, England where we visited with Ed and Cherry Sheeran. They had a wedding celebration in the woods and I played "Thirteen" for their first dance. I've only performed at a few weddings and each one is unique and magical. The power of music continues to blow me away every day. Even without having a chorus, I still consider "Thirteen" the best love song I've written. So glad that it continues to live strong and inspire love - super grateful that it came out of me!!! so, YAY!!

After leaving England, we flew to Italy to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary. We rented a car and drove straight to Tuscany where we literally ate our way around. We went to Florence and saw Michelangelo's 'David' which is shockingly moving. If you've never seen it in real life, I highly recommend trying to fit it in at some point. It's creation was a true moment of genius like Sgt. Pepper or Citizen Kane. We spent a few days in Rome, where you pretty much walk around in a constant state of awe and wonder. Might be the most beautiful city we've traveled to. Since I've been on a Michelangelo kick, I stood in the God forsaken line to see the Godly Sistine Chapel. Hashtag WORTH IT. The 'Last Judgement' is next levvvelllll.

The audio tour iPod thingy that I rented said that "Michelangelo was over 60 years old when he painted the Last Judgement and was at the height of his artistic power." I thought "Helllll yeesssss! I'm only 38 so there is time yet!". Maybe I'll even beat "Thirteen" one day!

Home now. Super invigorated. Gonna wrap up Circuit Boredom and pick a release date once and for all.
